The Lakewood Veterans Committee:
Raises money for the ongoing maintenance of the Lakewood Veterans Memorial at Lakewood Park. The Lakewood Veterans Committee is a group of veterans from Lakewood and the surrounding areas who meet with the City on a regular basis (quarterly or more) to discuss veteran issues and the veteran events/projects that will be held in the City.
Leashed Dogs in Lakewood Park:
Raises money to maintain the pet waste stations in the five neighborhood parks throughout the City. This committee also continues to educate the public on responsible dog walking and leash rules.

Lakewood Outdoor Basketball Committee:
LOBC is an organization that has been assembled in
hopes of bringing public outdoor basketball hoops back

Animal Safety and Welfare Advisory Board:
Targeted Trap, Neuter/Spay and Return Program (TNR): Raises money to support the human trapping of unaltered feral cats, neutering them and releasing them back into the same environment where they were collected. TNR is promoted by proponents as a humane and more effective alternative to animal control for managing and reducing the feral cat (and dog) populations. This organization is part of a Pet Smart Charities funded two year grant project.
Friends of Madison Park:
Community volunteers dedicated to the improvement and upkeep of Madison Park.
Kauffman Park Friends:

A grassroots community organization dedicated to promoting healthy, active living in Lakewood. Provides programming on nutrition and exercise.

My Best Friend’s Bowl:
A Lakewood Group which collects dog and cat food to distribute to the families in need who are clients of Lakewood Community Services Center.
