H2O connects Lakewood youth with volunteer opportunities to develop a strong desire to SERVE the community. Nurtured by a culture of kindness, they LEARN valuable skills while helping others. The GROW into more engaged citizens empowered to make an impact in the world.

Embedded deeply in the history and mission of the “youth office” is the belief that when the community supports and nurtures families, kids thrive as does the entire community. For more than 25 years, the Youth Office has looked for creative ways to strengthen our partnership with parents and to make sure all the resources of the community are available to them and their children, to assist them in solving problems and seeing all the possibilities for growth and change.

h2oGirlsHelp to Others is a service-learning program for middle and high school students in Lakewood. H2O engages youth in volunteer work, empowering them with the values of belonging and contributing to their community.
